Key Deliverables as a Client-Side Project Manager

Project Planning & Strategy

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, objectives, timelines, and key milestones.

  • Prepare and review the business case and feasibility studies.

  • Advise on site selection and due diligence.

Design Management

  • Coordinate the preparation of the design brief to align with the client’s operational and business needs.

  • Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with regulatory, functional, and aesthetic requirements.

  • Manage design consultants and facilitate design approvals.

Approvals & Compliance

  • Prepare and lodge development applications and secure all necessary planning, building, and operational approvals.

  • Ensure compliance with zoning, building codes, and other statutory requirements.

Procurement & Contract Management

  • Develop procurement strategies and manage the tendering process for consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Review and negotiate contracts to safeguard client interests.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the client, consultants, contractors, and authorities.

  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication, including regular reporting to the client.

Project Controls & Risk Management

  • Establish and monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Ensure robust change management processes are in place.

Construction Oversight

  • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design, quality, safety, and program requirements.

  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate resolution of construction issues.

Operational Readiness & Handover

  • Coordinate commissioning, inspections, and certifications (e.g., occupation certificates).

  • Manage the handover process, including defect rectification and transition to operations.

  • Prepare and deliver final project documentation (as-built drawings, warranties, manuals).

Post-Completion Support

  • Oversee claims mitigation and manage any post-completion issues or disputes.

  • Support the client with asset planning, operational set-up, and change management if required.
